Presider: God our Father, every year we rejoice as we look to the light that brightens the darkness of hearts and minds. In remembering the birth of the Word in the person of Jesus we are inspired with faith in your love for us. We are uplifted in hope for peace in our world. May this remembering fill our hearts bringing an outpouring of genuine love for family, neighbors, community, nation, and our common home. May we welcome Jesus as our Redeemer and so meet him with confidence when he comes to judge us personally and in community. We ask this in the name of that Son and with the love of the Spirit, who live with you now and forever.

Response: Amen.
