Presider: We glory in the Cross of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is a sacrament of hope and unconditional love. With confidence in the work of the Lord we make bold to petition the Father for our needs and praise.

Presider: Father, through the suffering and glory of the Cross we have been liberated from slavery to sin and misleading allures of the world. May truth and concerns for those suffering from violence and famine caused by war are soon resolved for the sake of the poor and starving. This we ask in the name of Jesus.
