GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
(Cycle A)
December 8, 2025
Deacon/Reader:
For Pope Leo and for Bishop Luis, especially on
this patronal feast day of our Diocese, that with the intercession of Mary,
Mother of the Church, we may be guided in carrying out God’s Plan for our life,
we pray to the Lord…
-
As we celebrate God’s
wondrous deeds in Our Lady, that with the intercession of
Mary, Seat of Wisdom, we may reflect Her generosity in what
we do for others, we pray to the Lord…
-
For all mothers expecting a
child and those long serving in this sacred vocation, that
with the intercession of Our Lady of Good Counsel, they may
be strengthened as good stewards in forming their children
in faith, we pray to the Lord…
-
For prudence in our decision
making, that as Our Lady pondered what God was asking of
Her, so may we draw on Her intercession and example, we
pray to the Lord…
-
For all those who are ill,
that with the intercession of Our Lady, Health of the Sick,
they may be blessed with God’s healing graces, we pray to
the Lord…
-
For our country, that with
the intercession of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception,
we may foster a more just society for those most vulnerable:
the unborn and the hungry, the homeless and those who are
seen of little value, we pray to the Lord…
-
For all who have died, that
with the prayers of Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, they may come
to the place God has prepared for them in Heaven, especially
our parishioners Patricia Taussig, Mary Thuente and Carolina
Quijada (Key-Hada), who died last week…
ALL MASSES: …and for our parishioners and all pilgrims to our
Cathedral for whom this Mass is being offered, we pray to the Lord…
Celebrant:
Loving Father, you blessed Our Lady with the
fullness of Your grace. Hear us and fill us, always with that same grace, as we
pray in the Holy Name of Your Son, through Christ our Lord. R: Amen.
"Blessings on your preaching."
